Thanks for calling Domino's, my name is Mervin, how are you today?...
Last Sat I learnt how to answer calls and take order on the computer. Very fun! In some twisted sense, it made working in dominos a lot more fun and less boring. I get the speak with people on the phone... waste time  and earn money...
It's a weird sense of satisfaction after taking an order and keying it into the system that bewilders me. When the phone rings I rush for it. Beats washing the dishes, oiling the pans or cleaning the fridge anytime!
Weird huh?

Bbq at my place
Ok I know everyone keeps saying 'wah so many activities ar?' I'm just holding a get together AGAIN... hey what else can we do in boring Brisbane? Ok.. its next sat my place at 7... It's gonna be a port-luck thingy, so marinate any meat you want and bring it over... you can bring drinks or dessert as well.
As I told some of you already... just hit one comments in this entry and tell me you are coming and what you bringing so I can arrange... please look at what others are bringing in the comment and bring something else!

Blogging for the sake of blogging
Ok... I have not been blogging 'cos I guess I'm just too lazy to type... I realised that not many people leave comments on the blogs...
I have been a bit lazy nowadays to do the photos and stuff... all my free time now is concentrated on resting and playing warcraft 
Will do it soon... I guess... heheh

Today really supper dun feel like working... All the BPM stuff, work, SAP, IMG, ARIS... I feel like this small little ant among the giant human race... Can feel quite sick like that... Sigh...

Our new place
Finally moved to our new place! Will be putting up photos of the place as soon as I get internet from home. Am at the office now... Trying to get back into the mood of 'work'.
House warming: I am intending to hold a house warming at my place this weekend on Saturday... For all my friends in OZ land... If you can make it for dinner and some games after or just chilling at my new place (with a big courtyard), please click on the 'comments' of this entry and leave a message to say you are coming...
Things to bring: Many times when peeps go for house warmings the anyhow buy presents that the home owners usually don't need. I have made your life simpler and in-case you are thinking of buying somethings here is a list... Though you are in no way obligated to bring anything.
1. Crokery (Pots, washing-vege thingy, plates and bowls)
2. Cutlery (steak-knifes, chopstix, chinese spoons)
3. Cocktail shaker
For the more generous...
3. Ginzu (or equivalent) knife
4. Hair shaver (like the malay barber kind, cordless prefered)
5. Ironing board
For the impossibly generous (put for fun)
6. Display cabinet
7. Fridge
8. Washing machine
Ok all are the things we are lacking or still need. As I say, you don't have to bring anything. This is just a list for peeps who want to bring and dunno what to buy...
Need to go back to work now...

'Eating Snake' in the Office
I'm stealing some time in the office to blog... hehehe... 'cos after today no more internet at home until I setup an account in my new place. That would prob be a few days later.
Ok for peeps who don't know what I'm up to here it is. I am currently doing my masters in IT at QUT still. And am working in 3 places.
1. QUT has hired me to do some work for them and at the same time I am earning credit points for it.
2. Leonardo Consulting has also hired me to do there web development work on their corporate website.
3. At nights I become the pizza boy and send pizza for Dominos
So there... a quick update on why I am always not online... Til the next time we get interned again... ciao...

Finally brokenVase is 99% done!
Yup we are back! I have finally finished everything I need to do to get the site fully running... And based on the kinda schedule I have, this version 5 may be here to stay for a while... so get use to the look!
It's late and I need to sleep as I need to do a lot of admin stuff tomorrow... We'er getting the keys to our new 'place' tomorrow!! Yippee! but I gotta work dominos right after that... duh...
Maybe I'll elaborate more tomorrow... or my 'neighbour' at the other side of this screen can tell you... she's more free

Married Life
many people asked me how's married life everytime they see me online or email me. oh well, i am going to answer that question here.
married life is pretty fun, frustration, fulfilling, freaky and it is pretty much FAMILY. (gee, all the 'f' words - dun mind the pun)
there is so much to married life and sometimes it just makes you want to smile and cry at the same time. one minute it makes you go warm in the heart and weak in the knees, reflecting how much love two persons can share. the other, it makes you boil 1000 degrees celsius inside that the house is an active dangerous volcano where two persons just don't see eye to eye.
i know i can be a clean, tidy, neat freak sometimes. amidst the forgetfulness of where i put things and when i am supposed to run important errands. i know i inherit the overly-cleanliness gene from my mother, which sometimes can cause her to be a pain in an ass. but with the maintenance of this new house, i learnt that sometimes mervin is worse than me. what a new discovery!
i watched a TV show recently, there was this woman shared how something that her grandma said to her saved her marriage. it hits me on the head. she was going on and on about how the hubby should do this and that to keep the house neat and tidy and clean so much so that she often ends up reprimanding him. there is so much argument and anger in that relationship. she was complaining to her grandma about how she hated the way her hubby always leave the dirty socks beside the bed. her grandma said, 'girl, how will you feel if one day, there is no more socks beside the bed for you to pick them up?'
but one sentence sums it all. we are learning to be a couple. and i think this learning process will take forever.

I feel so handicapped without......
Without ..... INTERNET.
That was something that me and merv came to a census about. we can't live without the internet. how sad can that be?
anywayz, we shifted on Sat, 11th Sept. you can read about the whole moving process and see some of the pictures from Greg's website. i just wanna say a big thank you to all those who lend their time and muscles to help shift house. kevin, lynette, greg, sugin, patrick, hsu n rufus. thank you thank you thank you. muaks.
it is a pretty cosy place. 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. a fantasically big courtyard and a very nice pool view in the 2nd bedroom. and it is so near to the shopping centre. it is like less than 5 min walk away.
we pretty much bought the bulk of the furniture from our old place (Russell Terrace) which costs about almost 1 grand. and had a hard time shifting them to the new place. on top of that, we went to ikea twice to get some more furniture. ha haha. we spent another sum of money there. right now, the place is totally and beautifully furnished.
merv will put up the photos of the new place pretty soon, i think.
one week after we shifted, we had a house warming party. it was a night of food, fun and booze. everyone stayed until almost 3 am. and shing (our housemate) said that our house is a like a gambling den and sometimes a lan gaming shop. i hope everyone enjoyed themselves as much as we did. thanks for all the wonderful house warming gifts. greatly appreciated them.
now, it is back to some catching up in the studies and gym sessions since we have been too busy with all these for the past few weeks.

Hello. We are back.
We are shifting to a new place. hey did i tell u that we are shifting to a new place?
it is still in indooroopilly and it is much smaller than our current place but at least, it can almost called a place of our own.
anyway, i am going to have breakfast and then have to go about the admin stuff for the new place.
oh one more thing, brokenVase is online now. did i tell you that we are back?
