Pyone Ei

'Pyone Ei lives with her grandparents. Her father has passed away. Her mother works away in another town where there are more job opportunities. The grandparents were left to look after her but they been unable to provide the necessary care that the child needs. Your sponsorship is an important and continuing part of assistance to help this child and her family attain self reliance, for this is the development in which World Vision is involved.'

She is from Myanmma. I just realised that our company is sponsoring her. Her picture is displayed proudly in orange on our secretery's desk across from me. I went like 'what's there?' and Bronwyn went, 'or that's our sponsor child'. It's so cool... If you guys are interested in sponsoring a child see World Vision... I think its sure beats paying monthly to NKF!!! tsk! tsk! heh!

Finally Ready

my little green monster aka my morris lao-pok car, has finally gotten the nod of safety approval from the car mechanic.

now, we have to go and register it before it can roam and terrorise the streets of brisbane. i think i can only drive it around brisbane and nowhere further. *bish

Back to Boring Working LIfe

my family came for a 2 weeks plus holidays and they have safely reached back to singapore last night. it was a short but fun time, of course with couples of ups and downs. who says human relationships are easy?

now it is back to the normal working life. but merv and i look forward to our next batch of tourists coming to stay with us. usually, we will have a group coming in a span of 3-6 months. the next group will be coming in september (when i will be super busy with the audit busy season)

exams.... why do we have to sit for exams?

i know that is a dumb question. but it is funny how at the eve of every exam, this is a question almost all will ask themselves.

anyway, i have to sit for a paper tomorrow afternoon and right now i am still trying to get through the boring stuff.... sigh.. having a headache already...

Time Flies

it is may now. and i have been working in australia for close to 3 months. mervin has been to countless business trips interstate and back. in a couple of months' time, we will be missing our housemate, shing and our lan friends, greg and sugin and their housemate, angela as they will be graduating and moving back home. and then a little while more, we will be welcoming another new member to our household (nope, not a baby) but gary, who will be coming here to study for 5 long years.

God has been good to us in many ways. countless blessings. thank God for them.

You really going?!
