Be careful what you wish for! - from Loren

Yah be careful what you wish for... It might just fall down on you and KILL you!... My situation reminds me of the horror movie "Wishmaster". I wouldn't divulge anymore on this but simply put... My brain feels like its being pulled in a million pieces. Its heavy and I feel like I'm floating.

I just have to keep telling myself "I've been through worse"... Am I going to blog about it? ... No...

Sunday School

Yeah... I helped Fay yesterday in sunday school with the kids. Its part of our family's new year plan to serve in church. So I figured besides "sabo-ing" Gary into playing guitar and sunday school, I'll bite the bullet and step forward as well. When Jean asked gary and myself if we would like to help out in sunday school, I didn't think much of it and said yes why not! We had to fill out a form to attain a blue card (you need this in OZ to work with kids). But up til yesterday before going into church I didn't feel the jitters. But I did as we were singing along with the kids before sunday school actually started. I realised how "out of touch" I was working around kids. We used to help in the Children's ministry in Wilkie and I thought I was ok with it. But with the session yesterday. I was awkward.... :( Kat said I'll get used to it. But I realised how inadequate I was when I'm around kids. Perhaps its my introverted nature? But anyway... I will try as weeks go by to improve. Besides, its good training for my own kids when they come! Kudos to Dan for being able to take care of Lucas so well! My role model... kekeke....

Everyone's busy

Nowadays every night when we come home, Kat's studying, Gary's either studying or doing homework... Me? cooking, (auto)surfing or playing games... :P

Had a long time of reflection when I went over to Melbourne for work 2 weeks ago. Some quite quality time with God. These few days and last weekend's sermon also was a time that prompted me for reflection. I had a whole blog planned out in my head... but as with other things... It disappeared from my head!! haha... But one thing is true... its time to move from lukewarm to ON FIRE!!

Goodbye our love

I had to bring Cindy to be cat and small dogs tested yesterday at Beenleigh. Mervin is in Perth right now and won’t be back later in the week so I have to drive her myself. I have never driven to somewhere which I have never been before. I got and back there in one piece and I didn’t get lost. That was quite a feat. Was pretty proud of myself.

But this post is not about me. It is about the dear oldie, Cindy.

Cindy loves traveling in the car. Sometimes, when we leave the car door open in the garage, she climbs in and lays down immediately, as if waiting to go on a car trip. Cindy is a quiet and gentle old girl. She sits there while you drive, just peering out of the windows, enjoying the scenery, never getting up once. Occasionally when she gets bored with the never ending highways and the trees, she gives a sigh and lays her head down on the seat.

Cindy will be going to a new place by end of this week. Mervin knew just before he flew to Perth that it would be the last time he will see her. He took a couple of more photos and gave her a rub and a hug. Though he never said it, I know he will miss her.

Cindy came home with me last night, after a night of meeting new dogs, noisy ones, small ones, weird looking ones and a beautiful grey cat. She took everything in her stride. Although at the end of the night, I could tell her she was tired. She hopped out of the car and went upstairs to her bed and lay down to rest.

She is a girl which we will never forget.
