Goodbye our love
I had to bring Cindy to be cat and small dogs tested yesterday at Beenleigh. Mervin is in Perth right now and won’t be back later in the week so I have to drive her myself. I have never driven to somewhere which I have never been before. I got and back there in one piece and I didn’t get lost. That was quite a feat. Was pretty proud of myself.
But this post is not about me. It is about the dear oldie, Cindy.
Cindy loves traveling in the car. Sometimes, when we leave the car door open in the garage, she climbs in and lays down immediately, as if waiting to go on a car trip. Cindy is a quiet and gentle old girl. She sits there while you drive, just peering out of the windows, enjoying the scenery, never getting up once. Occasionally when she gets bored with the never ending highways and the trees, she gives a sigh and lays her head down on the seat.
Cindy will be going to a new place by end of this week. Mervin knew just before he flew to Perth that it would be the last time he will see her. He took a couple of more photos and gave her a rub and a hug. Though he never said it, I know he will miss her.
Cindy came home with me last night, after a night of meeting new dogs, noisy ones, small ones, weird looking ones and a beautiful grey cat. She took everything in her stride. Although at the end of the night, I could tell her she was tired. She hopped out of the car and went upstairs to her bed and lay down to rest.
She is a girl which we will never forget.
