Tribute to kat...
Count your blessings name them one by one... Sung to tune of an old praise and worship song...
It's our ONE YEAR anniversary today!! I just wanted to mark this moment with a tribute to us...
I'd like to thank God for His blessings and faithfulness... Answering our prayers... even helping us when we haven't prayed... silently and gently nudging us... paving the way for us... we walk in this way not even knowing it was opened by Him... Thank you Lord! Even though we are not the 'faithfullest' couple, you have been there and answered our prayer of blessings for this family...
We had an opportunity to come to this foreign land to start a family. To go through the fusion of two lives uninterupted by parents' and relatives' influence. We had a chance to synergise our difference in lifestyle, home living, believes, values, family culture and many other aspects (be it squeezing you toothpaste or rolling it).
Sweetie I thank you so much...
... for your patience with me ... for putting up with my differences to yours ... for smiling every morning in bed when I wake up facing you ... for loving me for who I am ... for evolving with me towards a better union ... for supporting me through my trying and scary times at work and studies ... for simply being YOU!
And I look forward to many more years of blessings to come!

Big blunder at work
What happens when you make a grave mistake? In other peoples point of view its your fault and you don't realise it until its too late? Maybe it REALLY IS your fault but how can it be your fault if its a piece of knowledge you don't even have to cause the fault? Then they can argue that as a professional you should know. But if one knows everything then wouldn't one be God?
I truly feel sorry for my mistake. What made it worse was when I found out about it I didn't even feel it was my mistake and just went 'oh... that's really bad... sigh... oh well...' and went on about my own work. Then the next thing you know, your boss is on the other line pointing 50 fingers at you... Then it struck me that if in others perspective it WAS my mistake, then when I said what I said the day before, it would've sounded BAD!! It sounded like I don't take responsibility for my actions. Though I am sincerely sorry for it and now I owe the office one carton of premium beer... It's a hard lesson, but well learnt!
Thank God for his mercy... I'm really sorry Carmen for what happened.

first day at work
first day of work... feelings of the past 3 years of work experience flooded back. the feeling of working up early, get dressed for work. rushed through breakie and chasing after the bus.....
this firm is like my last firm. one of the better local accounting firm. with quite a bit of public listed clients. the working environment was very much like my last firm.
first day of work and i was sent out with 2 others for a half year review of a public listed client. it was pretty alright. just a little rusty from a year of relaxation. need to get my engine going.
thank god that everything went smoothly. well, tomolo is another brand new day.

Last days of Freedom.... or Last Days of Lazing?
i will be officially starting work on monday, 7th Feb. no more days where i get the whole afternoon doing my own things, or going to gym at a time where there are lesser people.
pretty sad but the thought of being more financially stable calms my nerves a little.

Forces of Nature
last night there was a storm where i lived. it was hot in the day but it was raining cats and dogs at night.
this morning i woke up and was watching my usual morning news and they were reporting of wild weather last night at melbourne which caused massive flooding and lots of road closure due to fallen trees. there were lightning and heavy rainfall and even hail the size of golf balls!! the flooding is the record highest since they started taking down records in 1849!! the report said that it is seldom to see the whole of melbourne being hit like that. usually, it is just the western and eastern side of the suburbs but now even the city centre was flooded and people were advised not to enter the city. hmmm.. so does that mean it is a day off from work?
but nevertheless, it was pretty scary and chaotic. is it me or is the weather indeed has gotten wild and unpredictable?

February
how time flies.. it is february already. it has been more than a month since the tsunami hit many areas and people are still discussing about it. i have been in australia almost a year now. and our one year wedding anniversary is coming up too. how time flies.
february always holds a special meaning for me since long long time ago. i remembered when i was a teen, i always broke up with my then bfs on valentine's day.
last year, i left singapore in february and started a new life in a foreign land.
i left singlehood in february and entered into a 'till death do us part' relationship.
this february, i am starting a career in this foreign land.
see, february is a special month for me.
